Toilet Problems We Fix
🔧
Running Toilet
A toilet that runs constantly can waste hundreds of gallons of water per day. Usually caused by a worn flapper, fill valve, or float — all quick, inexpensive repairs we carry on the truck.
🚽
Clogged Toilet
When a plunger doesn’t work, the clog is deeper in the drain or trap. We use a toilet auger or drain snake to clear it without damaging the toilet.
💧
Leaking at the Base
Water pooling around the base of the toilet usually means a failed wax ring seal. Left unaddressed this causes floor and subfloor damage. We reseat the toilet with a new wax ring and check the flange condition.

Toilet Replacement
Old, inefficient, or damaged toilets are better replaced than continuously repaired. We install customer-supplied toilets or can recommend and supply an efficient replacement unit.
How Much Water Is a Running Toilet Actually Wasting?
A toilet that runs continuously can waste 200 gallons of water per day — that’s over 6,000 gallons a month added to your water bill. Most running toilets are caused by a worn flapper that no longer seals properly, allowing water to flow from the tank into the bowl constantly. It’s one of the simplest and least expensive plumbing repairs there is, but many homeowners put it off because the toilet still flushes. The internal parts of a toilet tank — flapper, fill valve, float — are inexpensive and we almost always have them on the truck. A running toilet repair is typically a 30-minute call.
When to Replace Instead of Repair
If your toilet is more than 20 years old, has a cracked porcelain tank or bowl, requires frequent repairs, or is a 3.5-gallon-per-flush model (common in homes built before 1994), replacement is usually the better investment. Modern 1.28 GPF toilets use significantly less water and perform better. If the toilet flange or floor around the base has sustained water damage, that also needs to be addressed before a new toilet goes in. We assess the full situation and give you a straight recommendation.
Frequently Asked Questions
My toilet keeps running after I jiggle the handle. What’s wrong?
Jiggling the handle temporarily repositions the flapper to get a better seal. It means your flapper is worn and no longer seating properly on its own. This is a quick, inexpensive fix — usually under an hour including parts.
Can you install a toilet I already purchased?
Yes. We install customer-supplied toilets. Make sure the rough-in measurement matches — most toilets are 12-inch rough-in, but some older homes have 10-inch or 14-inch. If you’re not sure, we can measure before you buy.
Do you offer same-day toilet repair?
Yes. Toilet repairs are one of our most common same-day calls throughout Roswell, Alpharetta, and Sandy Springs. Call us at (770) 239-6628 and we’ll get there as quickly as possible.
